Most of her published work is in the field of neuroimaging and currently engaged in clinical research projects in other body regions including liver and breast.

Dr Sami Alarjan is an Assistant Professor in Psychology at King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences - Riyadh. He is Registered Consultant Psychologist (Clinical), Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
Shirley achieved his PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Nottingham in 2016. His PhD thesis was titled Cognitive Dysfunctions and Emotional Disorders after Stroke'. During his PhD he received a clinical training in cognitive assessments and psychological interventions. He was been trained in the administration and interpretation of wide range of neuropsychological and mood scales for assessment of the ability of attention, executive functions, memory, language, visual motor and tainted in administration and interpretation of various scales for assessments emotional disorders. Such as depression and anxiety.
Dr. Sami was appointed as a Psychologist King Abdulaziz Medical City – National Guard in March 2003 and was promoted to Consultant in Clinical Psychology in August 2016.
Dr. Sami's main research interest is in the psychological aspects of neurological disorders, particularly the assessment cognitive dysfunctions and mood problems following Stroke, Epilepsy, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Dementia.
He also completed training in the third wave of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and he is currently certified in Dialectical Behavioral therapy (DBT) which mainly designed to help clients who diagnosed with borderline personality disorders (BPD), Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD) and suicidal behaviors.
